Dr Daisy Wang obtained her BEng (Hons) and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2015 and 2019 respectively. Her major research interests include concrete mechanics and constitutive modelling, shear performance and hysteretic performance under cyclic loading of RC membrane elements.

Before joining this institution, Dr Wang had been a lecturer of the Civil Engineering programme of the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) since 2019, teaching various degree subjects related to structure, construction materials, transportation, geotechnical engineering and BIM technologies. She had also been the programme leader of the Professional Diploma in Building Information Modelling of THEi since 2020.
