Dr Tai Chi-lok, Andy is currently an Associate Division Head of the Division of Business and Hospitality Management (BHM) at the College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). With over two decades in the higher education sector in Hong Kong, Andy is a highly experienced and accomplished academic staff member at PolyU CPCE.
Andy obtained his undergraduate in Economics and Business Administrative Studies from the University of Winnipeg, Canada in 1999 and a master’s degree in Economics (Distinction) from the University of Waterloo, Canada in 2000. He received his PhD in Economics from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, PRC, in 2013.
Andy’s teaching prowess has been widely recognised, reflected in his numerous teaching awards, including the Outstanding Teaching Award, Lively Teaching Award, Inspiring Teaching Award and Caring Teacher Award in both PolyU HKCC and PolyU SPEED. Beyond the classroom, Andy is currently serving as the Programme Leader of PolyU SPEED’s BBA (Hons) in Finance.
Serving as the Mainland Admissions Advisor, he has been in charge of the recruitment of mainland students to PolyU CPCE for over 20 years. His expertise in both local and mainland education landscapes allows him to make contributions to PolyU CPCE’s strategic planning, programme development, and cross-border collaborations.
Andy’s research interests include Financial Economics, Macroeconomics, Tourism Development and Economics, Sustainable Development.
