Dr Oscar Chiu graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) with a Bachelor of Science (first class honours) degree, majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Government and Public Administration. In recognition of his academic excellence, Dr Chiu was placed on the Dean’s List during his undergraduate study. He also received a number of awards due to his outstanding academic performance and active participation in extra-curricular activities. Dr Chiu continued to pursue a higher degree and obtained his PhD degree in Chemistry from CUHK.
Serving at the Division of Science, Engineering and Health Studies of CPCE, Dr Chiu is the Assistant Programme Leader of the Associate in Health Studies and the Assistant Award Leader of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Applied Sciences (Health Studies). He is also serving as the Subject Leaders of science and health subjects at both sub-degree and degree levels. His scholarly interests include sustainable health, environment and education; he has published relevant articles in international journals and books.
