Dr Wilson Kwan is a Senior Lecturer in the Division of Science, Engineering and Health Studies (SEHS) of PolyU CPCE. He has extensive tertiary teaching experience in statistics, mathematics, data science, artificial intelligence, management science, and engineering analytics. He is actively involved in curriculum development, quality enhancement, and teaching innovation, and has served as Subject Leader for numerous undergraduate subjects. 

His research interests include Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Time Series Analysis, Health Economics, Healthcare Utilisation, Medical Inflation, and Health Insurance Analytics. He applies statistical modelling, machine learning and big data analytics to address healthcare- and insurance-related issues. His research supports evidence-based policymaking in healthcare financing, risk management and public policy. He has published scholarly papers and has participated in multiple funded research projects and industry collaborations, particularly in health insurance research and medical data analysis.

Dr Kwan is committed to professional and community service. He has actively contributed to the Hong Kong Statistical Society (HKSS), promoting statistical education and professional development, and has also provided professional services to the Education Bureau of the HKSAR Government in support of education and curriculum development. Through his research, teaching, and professional activities, he promotes evidence-based decision-making and the application of data analytics to address real-world challenges in healthcare, education, and public policy, while fostering the integration of academic research and professional practice for the benefit of society.
