Mr Lam is a digital media artist. Before joining the HK Polytechnic in 2002, he was a guest lecturer at the City University of Hong Kong. In the professional sector, Mr Lam has produced and directed numerous projects with clients such as the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Ricoh Hong Kong Ltd, Star TV Group, Kinox Enterprise Ltd, and E-Commerce & Trade Services Ltd. Prior to that, Mr Lam had also participated in different commercial projects in the US. These projects included the independent film "Alien Technology" produced by Richard Allen (producer of feature film "The Last of the Mohicans") and video project "Envisioning the Future", directed by Alex Singer (director of "Star Trek" the TV series).
Mr Lam obtained his MFA degree from the School of Cinema-Television, University of Southern California, and Bachelor degree from the University of Oregon, in the area of visual design and computer graphics. His works have won numerous awards like the Grand Prize in the Adobe Dream Team Competition, USA, and the Prize in Dream Science Computer Graphics, the Grand Prix in STEC, Tokyo, Japan.
Currently, Mr Lam is the Programme Leader of the Bachelor of Arts programmes in Applied and Media Arts, and Media and Communication Design.
He is a member of the Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA).
