Teaching and Scholarly Interests: Social Psychology
Dr Lam obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) degree from the University of Waterloo, and his Master of Arts and Doctoral (Social Psychology) degrees from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada.
During his graduate studies, Dr Lam conducted research on topics such as autobiographical memory, emotions, and self-predictions. The research findings were published in international scholarly journals and presented at various conferences around the world. In addition to conducting academic research, Dr Lam has also taught psychology at the University of Toronto and Wilfrid Laurier University.
Following graduation and before joining HKCC, Dr Lam worked for a leading publishing company in Toronto, where he helped develop psychological assessments used by doctors and psychologists to diagnose mental disorders.
